Dr. Ibrahim Mukisa – Specialist

Dr. Ibrahim Mukisa holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam, Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Nairobi, PGDE (Mathematics and Economics) and BSc in Economics from Makerere University. He is a Lecturer and Coordinator of Graduate Programs at the School of Economics, Makerere University. He is also a Visiting Lecturer and Tutor to PhD

Students at the University of Rwanda. He previously lectured Microeconomics and Environmental Economics at the National University of Lesotho. Currently he is also part of the Faculty at the PIMS Centre of Excellence, Makerere University. He has over 22 years’ experience in academia and research at Makerere University. He has accumulated research experience in economics with special interest in Development Economics and Macroeconomics and has supervised many students at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level. Dr. Mukisa has published in several peer reviewed journals. He is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the African Integration and Development Review of the African Union, he is a peer reviewer for the Economic Journal of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Sierra Leone, the Journal of Economic Structures (Springer Nature review) and an External reviewer of International Initiative for Impact Evaluation

Dr. Mukisa, has vast experience in conducting; Feasibility studies, Impact evaluations, rigorous empirical research using econometric methods and has hands-on experience in Public Investment Management Systems. He has conducted several TOTs in Evaluation of projects/programs and offered trainings in PPM & Evaluation to Graduate students and other Practitioners. He has also conducted several evaluation studies for Government Ministries, International Agencies and the Private Sector.
